KanEquip, Inc., a Wamego-based company, has agreed to acquire Ottawa’s McConnell Machinery Co. and the Case IH territory, according to a press release.
“The Ottawa store will be the third Case IH dealership within KanEquip,” Bryndon Meinhart, KanEquip’s regional manager, said. “This location will give us the unique opportunity to solely focus on the Case IH brand and the lines that compliment it.”
The transition is planned for June 21 and will increase KanEquip’s locations to nine in Kansas and Nebraska, the release said.
KanEquip is a leader in agricultural and light industrial equipment industries serving primarily agriculture producers as well as government and contractors, the release said.
“We are anticipating an easy transition since both companies share similar backgrounds and values, Craig Goff, KanEquip general manager, said.
McConnell Machinery Co., 3313 Nebraska Terrace, Ottawa, was established in 1936 with three generations of the McConnell family involved in the daily operations of the Ottawa location.
The McConnells will keep the Lawrence store location and Kubota territory.
