Emporia State University

Erin England, Pomona, was among 60 Emporia State University students from The Teachers College who received special recognition at the close of the 2017-18 academic year. She received academic honors.

Twenty-two received outstanding student awards and 41 students were honored for achievement of a 3.8 grade point average or higher. Undergraduate and graduate students were honored for excellence in their respective departments. Nine students received outstanding undergraduate student awards and 13 students received outstanding graduate student awards.

 Barton Community College

Ryen White, Ottawa, was named to the Barton Community College President’s List for the spring 2018 semester. To qualify for this honor, students must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintain a grade point average of 4.0 on a 4.0 or “A” letter scale.

Pensacola Christian College

Ashley Kay Rumford, daughter of Ron and Angela Rumford of Ottawa, was named to the President’s List by Dr. Troy Shoemaker, president of Pensacola Christian College, for academic achievement during the 2018 spring semester. This was a result of earning a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher.

Pensacola Christian College is a liberal arts college enrolling students from every state in the U.S. and from around the world. The college has an enrollment of about 4,800 students (undergraduate, graduate, and Seminary) and offers a variety of programs of study.
