The Ottawa Library’s Summer Reading Pool Party is set for Friday night at the Forest Park Pool, 310 N. Locust St., Ottawa, library officials said.

The party is a reward for children who have completed all 10 Libraries Rock bookmarks to earn their VIP pass for admission into the party, which runs from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., officials said.

Only the children who earned the VIP pass are allowed to attend the pool party with their parents or guardians, officials said.

No other family members are allowed to attend unless they, too, have earned the VIP Pass or they are siblings under 3 years of age.

Participants must bring their VIP Pass with them.

The final storytime of the summer for children is 10 a.m., 2 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. today at the Old Depot Museum, 135 W. Tecumseh St., Ottawa. The program is free.

The Scavenger Hunt, which takes place in the city parks, continues through Friday. It is open to all ages. Participants need to find the golden music notes and record the number next to the park in which it was found. Bonus points will be added for a selfie taken while out on the hunt and post it to the Ottawa Library’s Facebook page. You may play solo or on a team.
