• 10:17 p.m. Wednesday, 305 S. Main Street, Ottawa, Danielle Fast, 18, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant for probation violation.

• 8:52 a.m. Friday, 305 S. Main St. Ottawa, Joshua Mann, 39, Lawrence, for a Franklin County probation violation warrant.

• 12:13 p.m. Friday, 1000 block of N. Milner St., Ottawa, Austen Book, 25, Overland Park, for driving while revoked after being stopped for a traffic infraction. Andrew Osborne, 28, Overland Park, for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• 8:51 p.m. Friday, 4800 block of Nevada Road, Baldwin City, a 15-year-old Baldwin City male for aggravated assault, arson, and criminal damage to property. He was transported to the Juvenile Intake Center.


• 8:52 a.m. Wednesday, 3700 block of Sand Creek Road, Letty Burns, 68, Ottawa, struck a dog that entered the roadway with her Chevrolet Malibu. The dog’s owner was notified.

• 9:58 a.m. Wednesday, 3500 block of Old US-59 Highway, Nathan Husemoller, 69, Ottawa, was traveling northbound when the dump bed of his dump truck was raised and struck and removed an overhead railroad crossing signal arm belonging to the Midland Railroad.

• 1:54 p.m. Wednesday, 2600 block of I-35, milepost 183, Richard Payne, 48, Chippewa Falls, WI, was traveling southbound in a 2016 International Prostar semi when a malfunction with his trailer axle caused the axle to catch fire. Richard extinguished the fire.

• 11:43 p.m. Wednesday, 2300 block of US-59, Istvan Farkas, 51, Florida, was driving a 2018 Freightliner when he struck a deer.

• 4:42 p.m. Tuursday, 400 block of Virgina Road, Greeley, Scott Garman, 57, Princeton, was traveling north bound in a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 when he lost control of the vehicle while pulling a trailer. The trailer entered into the ditch on the west side of the road causing it to break away from the truck.

• 8:03 p.m. Friday, 3700 US-59, Devin Turner, 26, Ottawa, was traveling southbound in a 2017 Nissan Rogue when he struck a deer.

• 12:40 a.m. Saturday, 900 block of Thomas Road, Pomona, Lance Hayden, 40, Pomona, was traveling westbound in a 1997 Ford pickup, when he struck a cow.

• 5:52 a.m. Saturdya, I-35 mile post 176, Ottawa, James Morton, 33, Pecatonica, Illinois, was traveling northbound in a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro when he struck a deer.

• 7:28 a.m. Saturday, 2800 block of Iowa Road, Ottawa, Dustin Weien, 32, Ottawa, was traveling northbound in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado when he did not stop at the intersection, and went into the ditch. The truck received front end damage. He also hit a power box belonging to AT&T.

• 5:26 p.m. Saturday, 4500 block of Indiana Road, Centropolis, Amy Green, 54, Ottawa, struck a deer with a 2015 Kia Optima.

1:50 p.m. Sunday, 1600 block of K-68, Ottawa, Nealy Houston, 21, Pomona, was traveling eastbound in a 2002 Jeep Liberty when he overcorrected causing the vehicle to enter the ditch. The vehicle then went through a barbed wire fence before overturning in a crop field. Nealy and a passenger, Britney Melton, 19, Pomona, refused medical treatment at the scene.

• 8 p.m. Sunday, 900 block of K-68, Ottawa, Christian Stromgren, 23, Lenexa, was traveling eastbound in a 2011 Ford Escape when he struck a deer.


• 10:25 a.m. Thursday, 2700 block of Greenwood Avenue, Ottawa, a 25-year-old Berryton, Kansas male reported being bitten by a dog. The owner of the dog was located.

• 1:30 p.m. Friday, 2700 block of Shawnee Road, a 70-year-old Ottawa female reported an unknown person broke out the back window of a garage door, and entered the residence.

• 2:54 a.m. Friday, 2100 block of Vermont Road, Rantoul, a 24-year-old Rantoul female reported Joshua Hansen, 25, Quenemo sent a text message of an emoji on Sept. 20, 2018. This text message violated a Franklin County protection of abuse order.

2:50 p.m. Sunday, 100 block of E. Franklin St., Pomona, a 55-year-old Pomona female reported damage to the air conditioner unit behind the Pomona City Library.

• 10:52 p.m. Wednesday, 2500 block of E. Logan St., Ottawa, Renee McCarley, 37, Henderson, Nevada, for DUI, possession of depressant, possession of paraphernalia and transporting open container.

• 3:43 p.m. Thursday, 1300 block of S. Beech St., Ottawa, a 17-year-old female was arrested as a runaway.

• 2:56 a.m. Friday, 1400 block of S. Ash St., Ottawa, Jeremie King, 39, Lyndon, for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after being stopped on a traffic infraction.

• 12:49 p.m. Friday, 700 block of S. Elm St., Ottawa, Ethan Leach, 29, on an active City of Ottawa warrant.

• 5:44 p.m. Friday, 900 block of E. Sixth St., Ottawa, Ashley Wells, 27, Ottawa, on an active Osage County warrant.

• 12:42 a.m. Saturday, 100 block of S. Cedar St., Kayla Underwood, 29, Ottawa, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license suspended after being contacted on a traffic stop.

• 1:31 a.m. Saturday, 100 block of E. Seventh St., Quortney Walker, 26, Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested for transporting an open container of alcohol after being contacted on a traffic stop.

• 8:57 p.m, Sunday, Anthony Conner, 21, Ottawa, for burglarly of motor vehicle, theft of property from vehicle, disorderly conduct, interference with law enforcement and pedestrian under the influence.


7:22 a.m. Wednesday, 1600 block of S. Main St., Ottawa, a 63-year-old Ottawa male reported a suspect passed a fake $20 bill to purchase items.

8:30 p.m. Wednesday, 300 block of N. Main St., Ottawa, a 30-year-old Pomona female reported theft of items. Misty Chapman, 45, Ottawa, was later located and cited for theft.

• 3:11 p.m. Wednesday, 300 block of S. Sycamore St., a 62-year-old Ottawa female reported an unknown individual stole items from her residence.

• 2:33 p.m. Wednesday, 900 block of W. 17th St., a 52-year-old Ottawa male reported someone had struck his unattended vehicle.

• 10:50 a.m. Thursday, 400 block of S. Ash St., Ottawa, a 36-year-old Ottawa male reported the theft of items form his property.

• 12:18 p.m. Sunday, 2100 block of S. Princeton St., Ottawa, a 25 year-old Lawrence female reported a known subject stole items from Wal-Mart.


• 7:11 p.m. Friday, 700 block of S. Mulberry, Ottawa, John Houston, 68, Ottawa, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet pickup and struck a legally parked 2003 Econoline van. Houston was cited for inattentive driving.

• 8:10 p.m. Friday, 200 block of E. 15th St., Ottawa, Tiffany Fraser, 37, Ottawa, was driving a 1994 Chevrolet pickup and was struck by Hugh Ashby, 51, Ottawa. Fraser fled the scene and was later contacted and issued a notice to appear for failure to report accident, driving while suspended and failure to yield right of way.
