Cora Stoneking, 86, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at the Ottawa Retirement Village in Ottawa, Kansas. She was born on Oct. 18, 1931, in Miami County, Kansas, the daughter of Clyde and Margaret Wilson Baer.
Cora had lived in Ottawa and at Pomona Lake, but she lived most of her life in Pomona.
Cora worked for the City of Pomona for many years as City Clerk.
On Dec. 14, 1947, Cora was married to James Robinson in Ottawa. They later divorced. On Dec. 29, 1975, Cora was married to David Stoneking in Miami, Oklahoma.
Cora was preceded in death by her husband David on May 5, 2011; by her parents, Clyde and Margaret; her three brothers, Marlin Baer, Marvin Baer and Bud Baer; her three sisters, Shirley Brown, Virginia Brasfield and Pat Leach; and a stepson, Danny Stoneking.
Cora is survived by her three children, James Robinson, Katherine (Randy) Allan and Linda (Danny) Servaes, all of Pomona; two stepdaughters, Karen Hamilton and Lisa (Keith) Love, all of Pomona; a stepdaughter-in-law, Kim Stoneking of High Point, North Carolina; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Graveside services for Cora were held at Woodlawn Cemetery at Pomona on Thursday.
