OVERAND PARK - Stanley E. Post, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of God on July 10, 2018, in Overland Park, Kansas.Stanley lived a full and honorable life, and touched countless lives with his honesty and integrity. Stanley was also known for his kind and generous nature, his willingness to always help a neighbor, and to be a good friend.
Stanley was born September 17, 1940, in Meade, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Meredith; his mother, Phyllis; and his brother, Phillip. He is survived by his son, Keenan; and grandchildren Taryn and Nathan; his sister, Susie Ballstaedt and husband Noel; and their children, Brittany, Nathan, Alicia, Faith, Jacob, Cara, Levi; his sister-in-law, Elaine Post; nephews, Brent and Michael.
During the last several years the support of Brent Post, Phillip's son, has been an extraordinary blessing to Stanley and Keenan. During dad's transition to Overland Park the kindness, love, and care of Keenan's mother and sister, Barbara and Deidra, was nothing short of a blessing from God. The genuine love and care showed to Stanley by Keenan's love, Gina, and daughter Meika, has brought countless smiles to dad's face and heart during his time in Overland Park. The joy of having his grandchildren close by, showering Stanley with their love, has been a blessing to dad and so beautiful to experience. A heartfelt thanks, to Arlen and Juel Blattner, and Chuck and Romana Zortman, who were true friends to the end.
Keenan is forever grateful to his father who taught him lessons as boy, and as a man, that only a father like Stanley with the character, perseverance, and kindness could have taught. He will be forever missed, always cherished, and we will be together again. Thank you all for your love of my father and condolences, may God bless you all.
