Clinton G. Everson, 79, of LeRoy, passed away unexpectedly on June 23, 2019, at Coffey County Hospital.
Cremation is planned. The family will have a Celebration of Life 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 88 W. Sixth St. in LeRoy. Contact Kathy Barber at (785) 418-5661 for details. Clinton was born April 3, 1940, in Walker, Missouri, the son of Russell Cornelius and Velma June (Wallace) Everson. When he was young, Clinton joined the Navy for a short time.
He later worked with his dad in Ottawa as a plumber, then drove a mail truck semi in Salina. He also worked for Fashion Inc. welding in Ottawa before retiring due to health reasons. He loved fishing and watching sports on television. He lived with his step-daughter Kathy in LeRoy for the last 13 years of his life.
Clinton was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stephen Everson; a daughter, Vanessa Kay Everson Weatherby; and a brother, Danny Everson.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin Denis, of Monet, Missouri; and two step-daughters, Kathy Barber and Teri Mitchell, both of LeRoy; two brothers, Donald G. Walker, of Baldwin City; James R. Everson, of Lawrence; six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
