Donald Joseph Wolken, 75, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 in Chanute, Kansas.

The family will greet friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel at 16 N. Forest in Chanute, Kansas. Rosary will be recited 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the rosary at 10:30 a.m. at the church. He was born on Sept, 7, 1943, in Garnett, Kansas, the son of Lawrence Joseph and Margaret (Sobba) Wolken.

Donald married Linda Schwegman on June 6, 1964, at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Richmond, Kansas. He worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation and then became owner, with his wife, of Fibrac Inc., for 23 years.

Donald loved doing yard work and making sure that he had no dandelions in his yard. He enjoyed working in his workshop and the challenge of fixing things. He most of all loved his family. Donald was a Third Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Donald is survived by his wife, Linda Wolken, of the home; daughters, Lisa Callaway and husband, Kevin, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; DeDe Walton and husband, Jeff, of McKinney, Texas; Shelly Fields and husband, Dino, of Spring Hill, Kansas; brothers, Larry Wolken, of Iola, Kansas; Ronnie Wolken, of Merriam, Kansas; sisters: Pat Adkinson, of Lenexa, Kansas; Alberta Kueser, of Garnett, Kansas; Delma Lewis, of Lyndon, Kansas; grandchildren, Kara, Kylon, Devon, Jenna, Keaton, Kallie, Justin and Amanda; great-grandchildren: Kayla, Kinsley, Spencer and Ava. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Sharon, and grandson, Jordan Fields.
