President Donald J. Trump invited the Republican and Democratic leadership from the U.S. Senate and House to attend a meeting on keeping the government open. After a tweet early on Tuesday from President Trump which read: “Problem is they want illegal immigrants flooding into our Country unchecked, are weak on Crime and want to substantially RAISE Taxes. I don’t see a deal!”

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, D-New York, and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California, decided not to attend a meeting at the White House with President Trump because it was evident they weren’t going to get their way.

They don’t want to play when they don’t get their way.

You see it is very simple: They want the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) legislation to get through without supporting to Build the Wall and strengthen our borders against illegal immigration. The Democratic Party has always supported illegal immigration so they can get more votes instead of securing our borders. Here is the perfect example of their stupidity: Every time any state passes legislation to show proof of citizenship at the polls in order to vote, lawsuits start flying over allegations of suppressing voters’ rights. Excuse me but I’m going to be politically incorrect — that is a bunch of crap.

Chuck and Nancy would rather shut down our government because of their liberal views, instead of working for the American people. I personally think after living in the Washington D.C. area during my life that half of our government officials need to be fired because they are destroying our great country. About three-fourths of all federal workers don’t care about the people they are serving (You and I). Our Founding Fathers had many arguments over how to set up this government because they were scared that America would turn out to be too big and not working for the people. Remember we just fought a war with the British and surprise, WE WON, in case it’s not taught in public schools anymore.

We as a people need to help drain the swamp in Washington D.C. We need to select people to run for office that will put legislation forward for a balanced budget each year and for term limits. Without these two pieces of legislation our government will go broke and everyone will lose the American dream.
