Wellsville pitchers toss gems

WELLSVILLE — The Wellsville High School baseball team received a couple more pitching gems Thursday in Wellsville against McLouth.

The Eagles swept McLouth, 2-1 and 13-2. Jerod Klamm threw 96 pitches with 11 strikeouts in the opener. He tossed a one-hitter.

The Eagles swept McLouth, 2-1 and 13-2. Jerod Klamm threw 96 pitches with 11 strikeouts in the opener. He tossed a one-hitter.

The Eagles finished with four hits.

Andy Dougan was the winning pitcher in the nightcap with twin brother Tony Dougan finishing the game. The Eagles bats had 13 hits.    Catcher Mitch Huffman, outfielders Seth Breithaupt and Shamus Kearney all had two hits apiece.

Wellsville (5-0) plays Tuesday at Prairie View.
