OU promotes track coach

Tim Byers has received a promotion. He was elevated to Ottawa University’s head coach of men’s and women’s track teams after three years as the assistant track coach.

This will allow Kirk Wren, who spent the past 19 years as head track coach, to focus on the OU cross-country program.

“I am confident that with more intentional focus, our men’s and women’s track and field and men’s and women’s cross-country programs will make huge strides over the coming years with these changes,” Athletic Director Arabie Conner said. “I appreciate Kirk and Tim’s continued commitment to OU, the programs and the student-athletes as we move forward.”

Byers has 18-plus years as track and cross-country coach.
