Braves soccer loses to MNU

OLATHE — The Ottawa University men’s soccer team Tuesday fell to No. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene University, 6-0, at Pioneer Field in Olathe.

Ottawa was out shot 28-3 in the season opener.

Ottawa was out shot 28-3 in the season opener.

MidAmerica  Nazarene scored twice in the first half and added four goals in the second half.

Ottawa keepers Dariusz Aitkenhead and Mark Bleich split time in the goal.

Bleich started and finished with four saves.

Aitkenhead played in the second half, tallying five saves.

The Braves (0-1) play their home opener 4 p.m. Saturday against Graceland University at Peoples Bank Field.
