OHS runners PR at Baldwin

BALDWIN CITY — The Baldwin Invitational provides the Ottawa High School cross-country runners with stiff competition.

“This meet offers state championship level competition with perennial contenders from classes 4A, 5A and 6A,” Ottawa coach Chris Kornhaus said. “We went into this meet with the goal of running our best times of the season so far. The results were mixed.”

The boys finished eighth with seven of the 15 runners running a personal best: Gabe Skoog, Aaron Miller, Brock Benorden, Isaac Ishmael, Kennadee Huskey, Jessie Winsky and Brittani Keeton.

“We will need to evaluate the others to determine what areas need to be addressed,” Kornhaus said.

Ottawa competes Oct. 17 in the Frontier League meet at Ottawa.
