OU spikers split

The Ottawa University volleyball team Saturday split two home matches.

Ottawa defeated McPherson (25-19, 25-21, 25-12) and lost to No. 9 Park (25-15, 25-16, 25-14)

The Ottawa University volleyball team Saturday split two home matches.

Ottawa defeated McPherson (25-19, 25-21, 25-12) and lost to No. 9 Park (25-15, 25-16, 25-14)

Ottawa held the Bulldogs to a negative hitting percentage in two of the three sets and a .042 hitting percentage for the match. Ottawa was led in blocking by Nicole Gingery and Allie Arnold with four blocks apiece.

Gingery led the Lady Braves with 12 kills with 12 and a .391 hitting percentage with only three hitting errors. Arnold finished with nine kills. Lindsey Widen led Ottawa with 14 assists and Christa Hill tallied 13. Mohsani Hoveyda had nine digs.

Arnold led the Ottawa attack with six kills against Park. Hill had 12 assists and Hoveyda had 21 digs.

Ottawa (9-11) plays 7 p.m. Friday versus Kansas Wesleyan.
