Bouse, McDaniel medal at state

LAWRENCE — Wellsville High School brought home two top-10 medals Saturday in the 3A State Cross-Country meet at Rim Rock in Lawrence.

Senior Chase Bouse finished eighth in the boys race. Freshman Lauren McDaniel was 10th in the girls race.

LAWRENCE — Wellsville High School brought home two top-10 medals Saturday in the 3A State Cross-Country meet at Rim Rock in Lawrence.

Senior Chase Bouse finished eighth in the boys race. Freshman Lauren McDaniel was 10th in the girls race.

The Wellsville boys finished 11th as a team with 238 points.

“A pretty good day at state,” Wellsville coach Tim Savage said. “Chase Bouse finished a successful cross-country career at Wellsville with an eighth place finish, his first medal in his fourth straight state meet.  

“Lauren began her state career in style, bringing home the 10th-place medal. The boys team finished 11th, but with a number of underclassmen running today, we look to make another run next year.”
