Falcons soar at home

POMONA — After holding Herrington to 18 points in the first half, West Franklin soared ahead en route to a 68-35 victory Friday at home. Head coach James Spencer was happy to see his players perform at a high level.

“We came out with a lot of intensity,” Spencer said. “We were pretty balanced scoring, and had several people step up.”

Juniors Will Duda and Klayton Lacey led the Falcons (3-3) in scoring with 14 points apiece.

West Franklin hits the road for their game at Northern Heights Jan. 7.

“Northern Heights is a scrappy bunch,” Spencer said. “They will play us tough.”

Herrington (35) — Morales 14, Granzow 6, Lynn 4, Weber 4, May 3, Ammann 2, Cowart 2.
