STILWELL — The Lady Cyclones got back into the win column Thursday.

The Ottawa High School volleyball team went 1-2 in the Blue Valley Quad.

Ottawa’s win came in its second match against Piper. The team dropped the Lady Pirates in straight sets, 25-16, 25-20. It marked Ottawa’s second straight-set victory this season.

Both league rival Spring Hill and host Blue Valley topped Ottawa. The Lady Cyclones won the first set against Spring Hill, but the Lady Broncos forced a third set with a narrow win in Set 2. Ottawa dropped the final set by five points, clinching the loss, 25-23, 24-26, 20-25.

The Lady Cyclones lost in straight sets against Blue Valley in the third match, 25-16, 25-10.

Ottawa (3-8) is back home Tuesday against league opponent Baldwin. The Lady Cyclones beat Baldwin in straight sets Aug. 26 in the opening tournament in Louisburg.
