Two student-athletes in the Ottawa University soccer programs earned weekly conference honors.

Caroline Jenkins, senior forward for the women’s soccer team, and Anthony Galeana, junior defender for the men’s soccer team, were named Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, in their sport.

Jenkins scored four goals in two matches, both victories, for the Lady Braves last week. She had both game-winning goals in the matches, helping No. 14 Ottawa to a 3-1 triumph over Southwestern, and a 3-0 win at Saint Mary.

Galeana led the Ottawa defense to two shutout victories last week. He was part of a defense that held the University of Saint Mary, entering Saturday’s contest ranked 24th in the NAIA in shots per game (18.6) and 17th in shots on goal per game (10), to six shots with only one of them being on goal.
