ALLEN — The Lady Falcons wrapped up second place in the Flint Hills League regular season. There’s still plenty of work to be done with the league tournament coming this weekend, Angie Corwine, West Franklin High School head volleyball coach, said.
West Franklin split its Tuesday matches at Northern Heights in Allen, winning the first 25-22, 25-8, and dropping the second in three sets 17-25, 25-22, 25-23.
Corwine noted in the second and third sets of the second match that her team didn’t have a run of more than two points.
“We are at the end of the season, and I am still trying to figure out what makes this team play to the best of their ability,” she said. “When we are in rhythm, we are a good team. We just need to figure out how to stay in that rhythm in order to put a string of points together. We still have a lot of work to do, and the girls are up for the challenge.”
