HUTCHINSON — Lady Braves volleyball dominated their first match at the Hutch Sports Arena Friday, beating Sterling College in straight sets.

Ottawa University topped the Lady Warriors 25-19, 25-21, 25-19, in the first match of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Fall Fling.

Kenna Hall, junior middle blocker, led Ottawa’s offense, tallying 12 kills in a match Ottawa had 42 kills to 23 attacking errors.

Ottawa (16-8, 10-3) plays 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. today against York College and McPherson College in the Fall Fling. The team played the University of Saint Mary in a late match Friday. Results from that match were not available at press time.
