BASEHOR — The Cyclones suffered their third loss in four games to end tournament week.

The Ottawa High School boys basketball team lost 43-29 Saturday to Hayden in the third-place game of the Bobcat Invitational hosted at Basehor-Linwood High School.

OHS continued its struggles on offense, recording the lowest point total of the season thus far.

The Cyclones kept pace with the Wildcats through the first 16 minutes of play. They were down 12-10 after the first quarter, and 25-17 at halftime.

Ottawa scored just two points in the third quarter, and Hayden extended its lead to 33-19.

Eight different scorers put points on the board for Ottawa, but none were in double digits. Seniors Krys Johnson and Devion Bethea led the way with six points apiece.

Ottawa (7-4) is back in action 7:30 p.m. Friday at Washington High School, 7340 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas.
