BASEHOR — Despite several strong individual performances, the Lady Cyclones ended their tournament winless.

The Ottawa High School girls basketball team fell 61-50 Saturday to Park Hill in the seventh-place game of the Bobcat Invitational hosted at Basehor-Linwood High School.

Summer Spigle, freshman, had a breakout game, leading a depleted OHS team with 16 points and three steals. Senior Kamryn Shaffer and Sutton Jung had 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Ottawa was without Riley Titus (ACL), freshman, and Payton Bruce (concussion), junior, in the lineup.

Park Hill jumped out to an 18-5 lead at the end of the first quarter, and kept crusing. Ottawa outscored its opponent 20-14 in the final quarter, but it wasn’t enough to complete a rally.

Ottawa (1-11) plays 7:30 p.m. today at Highland Park High School, 2424 SE California Ave., Topeka.
