PITTSBURG — The indoor track season came to a close with two Brave athletes competing at nationals.

Ottawa native Michael Jensen, junior, placed 28th in the shot put Saturday at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Pittsburg. He tossed a distance of 48-04 feet (14.77 meters) in his first trip to indoor nationals. He was an All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Confernece selection this past season after finishing second in the conference in shot put.

Adia Vaughn also represented Ottawa University at nationals, finishing 22nd in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.87 seconds. She is a freshman who earned All-KCAC honors after placing fifth in the conference in the 60-meter dash this past season.

The OU outdoor track and field begins March 16 at the Emporia State University Spring Invitational.
