POMONA — The West Franklin football team dominated Northern Heights Friday in a 24-0 victory in its home opener.

The Falcons (1-1) outgained Northern Heights, 333 to 116 yards, which included a 306-36 advantage in rushing.

Quarterback Clayton Noyons led the offensive attack with two rushing touchdowns and a 30-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Schmitz.

Noyons finished with 104 yards rushing just behind Shane Birzer’s 107.

Christian Smith had two quarterback sacks for the Falcons.

WELLSVILLE — The Eagles (2-0) found an extra gear in the second half to pull away for a 35-16 victory Friday night over Iola in its home opener.

Central Heights fell to 0-2 with a 52-20 loss Friday to Council Grove.
