Central Heights exploded offensively in its 34-22 over Wabaunsee Friday night at home.

Quarterback Dakota Beers tossed three touchdowns passes and Mason Roberts notched two scores on the ground. Matt Cubit caught two touchdown passes and Jayden Lee snatched one.

Coach Bob Risch said the Vikings showed a lot of fight.

“The focus this week was awesome,” he said. “They worked hard the entire game. The hard work is paying off.”


LYNDON — West Franklin put together a nearly complete football game in a 39-0 victory over Lyndon Friday in Lyndon.

The Falcons finished with 361 yards rushing and held the Tigers to 58 yards on the ground. Shane Birzer and Clayton Noyons led the defensive charge with four tackles each. Tanner Sink had a quarterback sack.

The offense was paced by Noyons and Brayden Singer, who scored two touchdowns each. Noyons rushed for 132 yards on just eight carries. Singer finished with 125 yards on 14 carries.


WELLSVILLE — It was not a happy homecoming Friday night for Eagles. Wellsville was upended 34-12 by Burlington to suffer its first defeat of the season.
