SIOUX CITY, Iowa — A loss Thursday morning ended another national-bid season for the Lady Braves. The Trinity Christian College Trolls topped the Ottawa Univeristy women’s volleyball team 25-20, 20-25, 25-20, 25-23 in the final pool-play match of the NAIA National Championship Tournament. OU went 0-3 in pool play and will not advance to bracket play.

Despite its second straight season going winless at nationals, Ottawa ends the year with a seventh consecutive winning season (27-13), and a KCAC Tournament title. The team was ranked No. 20 in the NAIA Top 25 poll heading into nationals.

Against Trinity Christian, Ayonna Tharps, sophomore outside hitter, led OU with 16 kills. Caitlyn Cox, sophomore outside hitter, had 13 kills and Kenna Hall, senior middle blocke, finished with 11 kills and a .348 attacking percentage. Liz Heit, senior libero, had 22 digs, and Morgan Berry, freshman setter, logged a double-double with 44 assists and 15 digs.
