Tourney brackets set

Two area boys teams garnered top seeds in next week’s mid-season tournaments. Ottawa (9-0) is the top seed in the Basehor-Linwood Invitational, while Wellsville (6-2) tops the Baldwin Invitational.

Both teams open tourney play Tuesday. Ottawa, the defending tourney champs, plays 4:30 p.m. against Platte County. Wellsville plays 7 p.m. against Perry-Lecompton.

The Baldwin tourney concludes Friday and Saturday, while the Basehor Invitational winner’s bracket games are Thursday and Saturday and loser’s bracket on Wednesday and Friday.

The Ottawa girls play 6 p.m. Tuesday against Basehor-Linwood.

The Anderson County boys are the No. 3 seed at Baldwin and plays 5:30 p.m. Tuesday against Augusta.
