Sheriff's office investigates burglary, theft

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and theft in the 3400 block of Tennessee Road between 10:30 p.m. Jan. 2 and 8 a.m. Jan. 3.

During that time unknown person(s) entered the building through the walls. Once inside, the subject(s) stole three professional European mini pocket bikes.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and theft in the 3400 block of Tennessee Road between 10:30 p.m. Jan. 2 and 8 a.m. Jan. 3.

During that time unknown person(s) entered the building through the walls. Once inside, the subject(s) stole three professional European mini pocket bikes.

One of the bikes was red, orange and blue, and the other two were white, green and red. Each of the bikes had a black and white sticker on the top of the back fender with a white P on it.

Other items taken included an AT&T iPhone, a Canon and a JVC camcorder, a Garmin GPS, an Apple iPod, a Sony V1U camcorder with a black and white “P” sticker. The camcorder was in a carrying bag with batteries, charger, tapes and blue rain guard.

Also taken were two flip video cameras — one with Yamaha 450 engraved on the side — and a Sony DX-100A camera with red “P” sticker, three D2X Nikon cameras, an 18-35-millimeter Nikon lens for camera, an 800-200 Nikon lens for camera, a 300-millimeter Nikon lens for camera with several stickers.

The stickers include “the pickle”, “playground” and “MX’rs for Jesus.” The estimated loss is more than $38,000.

Franklin County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of any person(s) committing a felony crime in Franklin County.
