Allen Campbell, Franklin County Crime Stoppers president, talks about additions to the program Friday during a Chmaber Coffee at the Franklin County Visitor Information Center, 2011 E. Logan St., Ottawa. Campbell said the program now allows residents the opportunity to report crimes anonymously by email and text message. Crime Stoppers, a contribution-funded program, rewards residents as much as $1,000 for tips leading to a felony arrest. Campbell took the position as president after Wayne Linder, former president, stepped down after serving since the program's formation in 1996. The Franklin County Crime Stoppers tip line is (888) 311-TIPS or (888) 311-8477. Callers may remain anonymous.
