WELLSVILLE CRESCENT CLUB

The Crescent Club of Wellsville met Jan. 19 at the home of Flo Loyon. Carol Cramer presented the program, children’s literature, by featuring a local author, Mrs. Bev. Knapp. Known to Wellsville Elementary students as Grandma Bev, she is and has been a volunteer reader to second- and fourth-graders for the past 10 years. Fulfilling a lifelong dream to see her published work on the shelf, Grandma Bev wrote her first book, “Flying Away to the Eagle’s Nest,” in 2006. Four more books followed, with two more in the works.

Fourteen members answered roll call with favorite stories from childhood.
