Republicans need to start doing — not just blocking

Is it too much to ask for Kansas to get some representation in Washington, D.C.? We understand all our representatives and senators stand in the ranks of the minority party in their respective chambers. But that does not excuse them from offering solutions to the nation’s ills.

Take health care for example. The Democrats’ proposal to extend coverage to almost all Americans is needed. So is the elimination of insurance companies being able to drop coverage because of pre-existing conditions.
