Stronger dollar weighs on wheat

From the Kansas City Board of Trade

Kansas City wheat futures gave back almost equal gains seen in yesterday's session this morning, feeling pressure from a stronger U.S. Dollar, according to traders.

Bearish fundamental factors also led to the weaker trade, including favorable moisture moving through southern regions of the HRW wheat belt this week, traders added.

Beneficial snowfall will also protect wheat plants in areas that will also experience colder weather.

In export news, Jordan purchased 100,000 metric tonnes of wheat out of the Black Sea.

KC Mar wheat was 11 1/2 cents lower at $4.87 1/2 at midday.

CASH GRAIN: There was no cash grain market report this morning.
