‘Flash mob’ fallout

It is rare for me to actually respond to an item in a newspaper, but Linda Brown’s Jan. 27 column on the so-called “flash mob” was so exactly right on that I wanted to thank her for writing it.

When I read the original article, I was sort of concerned that there didn’t seem to be much of a negative response to the actions those Ottawa University students had taken. I realize that a reporter has to just report the facts without a slant toward approval or disapproval, but it just seemed to me to be so inconsiderate on the part of the students that I wanted to have the paper scream at them.
