UPDATED: Four arrested in Wellsville drug raid

Two men and two women were arrested Thursday night in Wellsville following a joint drug bust involving area law enforcement.

Wellsville Police Chief Steve Gillespie said a search warrant was executed at a home in Wellsville Thursday night. Law enforcement from the Wellsville Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff's Office and the Ottawa Police Department were involved in the raid, which involved four subjects, Gillespie said.

Michael Leeper, 32, and Jessica Newcome, 32, both of Wellsville, and Larry Morrow, 46, and Christine Moen, 31, both of Ottawa, were arrested on suspicion of numerous drug-related charges.

Leeper faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, criminal possession of a firearm, felony possession of paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of aggravated child endangerment, Lt. Jeff Curry, with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, said.

Newcome faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of child endangerment, Curry said.

Both Leeper and Newcome remained in Franklin County jail Friday morning awaiting court appearances.

Morrow and Moen face charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, Curry said.

They were released on bond Friday morning.
