Falcons struggle in opener

The four Falcon pitchers combined to walk nine and the defense committed six errors. Ten of Prairie Views runs were unearned.

“You cant expect to win when you give away 10 runs,” Falcon coach Ian Evans said.

The Falcons made several other mental mistakes that dont go as errors in the scorebook.

“For whatever reason we usually start the season off bad.  We’ve lost our first game three of the last four years. I don’t think it’s possible for us to play any worse. I hope not anyway,” Evans said.

The Falcons won the junior varsity game, 13-3.

“The JV kids played great. They came out ready to go,” Evans said.

Cody Bowman was the winning pitcher.
