Eagles host state presidents

The Fraternal Order Of Eagles in Ottawa was host of a reception for Kansas state presidents, Les and Tara Florentin, March 1. This is the first time that a husband and wife team had the office of Kansas state president simultaneously.
Grand madam president, Margaret Cox, of Tennessee, was in attendance. During the program a donation was given to Sarah Caylor for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Franklin County.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a beautiful handmade Eagle Quilt, that was presented to Les and Tara Florentin.
The quilt was pieced together by Carol Wills and quilted by Kathleen Leary, both of whom are members of the local Sunflower Piecemakers Quilting Guild.
