‘Peace Rider’ sets course for greater awareness of global warming plight

Don Ross travels with an Alaskan bicycle, a small trailer for his camping gear and a jacket that reads, “Burn fat not oil.”

Ross, also known as “Peace Rider,” biked through Ottawa Tuesday, notching one more town along his 6,000-mile trek from Alaska to Washington, D.C. He rides to raise awareness about global warming, he said.
