Police Department Arrests

    • 11:11 a.m. Thursday, Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., Sandra Miles, 63, Ottawa, was cited on suspicion of shoplifting.

    • 11:02 p.m. Thursday, Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot, 2101 S. Princeton St., LeAnn Godfrey, 19, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant.

Thefts

    • 1:34 p.m. Thursday, 3936 Indiana Terrace. Vernon Black, 43, Ottawa, reported someone entered his home and stole a safe containing medications.

    • 2:17 p.m. Thursday, Casey’s General Store, 904 N. Main St. Money taken by either a 25-year-old female or an 18-year-old female, both from Ottawa, between 2 p.m and 6 p.m. May 3. Case is under investigation.

    • 2:53 p.m. Thursday, Fire Pit, 123 E. Second St., building was damaged and items taken between 1 p.m. April 16 and 2:53 p.m. Thursday. The report is being forwarded to the county attorney’s office for review.

    • 4:46 p.m. Thursday, 700 block of North Poplar Street, a rifle from his house. The case is under investigation.

    • 3:51 p.m. Thursday, Third and Cedar streets, a vehicle driven by Helen Cantrel, 80, Ottawa, turned in front of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Christopher Taylor, 33, Ottawa. Cantrel was cited for improper left turn.

    • 9:20 p.m. Thursday, 2700 Eisenhower Road, a vehicle driven by Adam Burnett, 32, Melvern, ran into the back of a vehicle driven by William Hurst, 54, Goddard. Burnett was cited for no proof of insurance and following to close.

    • 11:34 p.m. Thursday, Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot, 2101 S. Princeton St., an unknown vehicle driven by an unknown driver struck a legally parked car owned by Galen Godfrey, Ottawa, and then left the area.
