Peoples places first at state

Ottawa High School’s Kearsten Peoples took first place in the shot put at the state track tournament today in Wichita. She threw the shot put 45 feet, 2.5 inches.
Teammate Kara McFarland took fourth in the discuss with 129 feet, 3 inches.
Peoples also placed eighth in the discsuss with a distance of 118 feet, 10 inches.
On the boys team, Sam Blecha placed second in the shot put with a distance of 52 feet, 8.25 inches, and Brandon Turner placed fifth in the shot put at 50 feet, 8 inches.
