Rotary Club awards scholarships

Amanda Harris was awarded the two-year Bob Shields Young Ottawan Scholarship. Harris plans to attend the Kansas State University in pursuit of a career as an art educator. She is the daughter of Steve and Pam Harris.

Megan Keaton received the Ottawa University-Bound Scholarship. Keaton plans to obtain a degree in secondard education with an emphasis in English. She is the daughter of Brad and Michelle Keaton and Calvin and Kelly Pearson.

Jeffrey James received the Vocational/Technical Scholarship. He plans to attend North Central Kansas Technical College to pursue a career in the automotive field. He is the son of Kevin and Delilah James.

Kristina Green was awarded the Neosho County Community College-bound scholarship. She plans to transfer to the University of Kansas to study obstetrics. She is the daughter of Bradley Scott and Lynnette Marie Green.

The Rotary Club is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service and help to build goodwill and peace in the world. There are about 1.2 million Rotarians who are members of more than 30,000 Rotary clubs in 163 countries.
