June 11,1959

• The city of Ottawa will begin soon paying a higher rate for the gas it purchases for the Gas Service Company for operation of the water and light plant. It was announced at the meeting of the city commissioners last night. The commissioners stated that the increase in fuel cost to the city will result in an increase in electric rates for consumers in Ottawa, but not immediately.
