Assisted customs agents with federal arrest warrants. One subject Sergio Navarro was located, arrested and in federal custody.

Gunshot

Deputies responded to the 3600 block of Sand Creek Road, regarding a burglary with possible shots fired.  It was later determined that an unknown suspect entered the residence and shot two people with a paint ball gun.  The investigation in on going.

Brian Wilt 25 of Ottawa, was driving a Chevy Malibu north on Florida in the 4800 block.  Wilt struck a deer causing over $1000 in damage.  Report taken.

Auto Accident (Property)


9th and Locust, 0659 hours, A Tyler Butler, 20-year-old Ottawa Kansas male backed out of a private drive into an oncoming vehicle driven by a Jamie Schulz 38-year-old Ottawa male.

500 Block North Davis Road, 1542 Hours, a vehicle driven by a Audra Hartley 44-year-old Pomona Kansas female struck another vehicle driven by a Edward Lee 45-year-old Ottawa Kansas male as they were stopped awaiting traffic to move.

Auto Accident (Hit and Run)

2101 South Princeton, 2230 hours, a Earl Bartlett 89-year-old Ottawa male reported that he was backed into as he was stopped in the parking lot. The second vehicle pulled out and away and never stopped.

Driving While Suspended

100 East 15th, 1218 hours, a Tracy Black 36-year-old Ottawa Kansas female was observed driving on a suspended driver’s license by officers. Subject was cited and released.

500 block North Davis, 1542 Hours, a Audra Hartley 26-year-old Pomona Kansas female was cited for driving while suspended after being involved in an accident.



Burglary / Theft / Damage to Property


800 Block North King, 1026 hours, both a 46-year-old Ottawa Kansas female and a a 32-year-old Ottawa Kansas female reported that there vehicles had been burglarized overnight with numerous personal items taken.



Drag Racing / Reckless Driving


1000 Blk S. Main, The suspects Kevin Fowler a 23-year-old Ottawa male and Aric  Madicson a 20-year-old Ottawa male were arrested for drag racing and reckless driving.
