LINDA CATHERINE HUNT

Linda Catherine Hunt, 61, Ottawa, died Saturday, June 27, 2009. A funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa.

She was born Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1947, at Dodge City to Wilfred William and Virginia Rose (Timmermeyer) Bugner.

She grew up in Eureka and Wellsville. She moved to Ottawa in 1963. She also lived in Topeka and then returned to Wellsville. She moved back to Ottawa in 2000.

She graduated from Ottawa High School in 1965.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Ottawa.

She worked as a driver’s license examiner by the state of Kansas for 24 years.

Survivors include her mother, Virginia Bugner, Ottawa; daughters, Debbie Hunt, Baldwin City, and Brygida Frazier, Springfield, Mo.; sisters, Mary Koorstad, and her husband, Bob, Jacksonville, Ark., Jean Bell, and her husband, Greg, Mesa, Ariz., and Ellen Lancaster, and her husband, John, Redfield; brothers, James Bugner, and his wife, Lisa, Fulton, Gerald Bugner, and his wife, Julie Brooks, Olathe, and Donald Bugner, and his wife, Deb, Ottawa; grandchildren, Kim Frazier, Kayla Frazier, Emily Philbrook and Catherine Philbrook; and a great-grandchild, Olivia Ivey.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred Bugner.    

Friends may pay their respects after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary after a rosary is said at 6 p.m.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Midland Hospice or Franklin County Cancer Foundation in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa KS 66067.
