Registration set for free/reduced school lunches

Ottawa parents can apply for free and reduced school lunches for their children from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ottawa Board of Education office, 416 S. Main St., or during extended hours beginning this week.

Hours are 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Additional times are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 28-31 and Aug. 11-13. The office also will be open 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 14 and 15.

Parents will need last month’s income for all household members or a letter from SRS stating eligibility for free meals.
