Bigoted Obama remark

Coins have two sides.
So goes the old cliche. Disputing that would seem futile. However, recent events may prove that cliche to be absolutely wrong.
I submit that the coin of the bigot is the same on both sides. One side contains greed, corruption and evil. The opposite side contains mistrust, hate and bigotry. Definitely a bitter pill to swallow.
Let’s say we’re watching TV and the Rev. Jesse Jackson is caught off-guard saying that one of our presidential candidates should have his genitals removed because — in his holy, honest opinion — the reverend thinks Sen. Barack Obama has offended black church-goers by talking down to them.
My, my. This statement from a man who fathered a child by a woman other than his wife — a man who has made derogatory comments about the Jews in New York. I’m surprised the honorable Rev. Al Sharpton has failed to respond by denouncing the Rev. Jackson as a bigot.
The coin is similar on both sides. Unfortunately, the coin of bigotry is minted by every country on this earth. Ask yourselves, America, what if John McCain had uttered that remark? The sword of truth swings both ways.
