Central Heights superintendent sentenced for disorderly conduct, after facing abuse charges

Jim Reece, superintendent of the Central Heights school district, had been facing charges of battery, child abuse and intimidation but pleaded no contest today to the lesser offense of disorderly conduct.

Reece was sentenced to 12 months probation and 25 hours of community service by Judge Kevin Kimball. He also was ordered to pay court costs, amounting to about $197 and to receive a mental health evaluation.
