Griffin: 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Tom and Beverly Griffin, Baldwin City, celebrated their 50th anniversary with Aug. 8. A trip to Alaska in celebration of their anniversary had to be cancelled because of Tom Griffin’s illness. Instead a family dinner will be Aug. 30 at Paisano’s.

The hosts of the dinner will be three sons, John, and his wife, Kathy, Baldwin City; Jeff, and his wife, Dawn, Lawrence; and Mark and his wife, Marvena, Topeka.

They have seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Tom Griffin graduated from Pittsburg State University. He retired from St. Paul Insurance Co. He has been the family service coordiantor for the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Homes, Ottawa, Baldwin City and Overbrook, for the past 15 years.

Beverly Griffin was a homemaker and manager of The Mail Box. She has been the marketing director for McDaniel & McDaniel Financial Services for the past 15 years.

The couple has lived in the Lawrence/Baldwin area for the past 39 years.

Tom Griffin and the former Beverly Kreeger were married Aug. 8, 1958, at the Church of Christ, Independence, Mo.
