Shorthorn is tops

West Franklin FFA member Tyler Webb, far right, had the supreme overall female at the Franklin County Fair in July. His champion female was a shorthorn and received trophies and a buckle. Webb and his cow are pictured with Nick Judd, left, of Judd Ranch, Pomona, who donated the buckle and Ryan Breiner, judge. Webb also received a trophy sponsored by G&J Cattle Company, Ottawa, for champion shorthorn and a trophy for overall supreme female sponsored by Orscheln’s Farm & Home. He is the son of Justin and Teri Webb, Pomona. Evan Woodbury, West Franklin FFA vice president, was supreme intermediate beef showman at the fair. He is the son of Howard and Elise Woodbury of Quenemo.
