WMS football sweeps Osawatomie

WELLSVILLE — The Wellsville Middle School football teams Thursday swept a pair of games against Osawatomie in Wellsville.

The seventh grade won 28-6, while the eighth grade posted an 18-6 victory.

Brett Osbern paced the seventh grade with two touchdowns and two two-point conversions. Trevor Shalkoski and Cole Silsby scored a touchdown each.

Matthew Torneden rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another to lead the eighth grade. Shelton Breithaupt caught the touchdown pass.

Both teams improved to 2-0. Wellsville plays Thursday at Central Heights.
