OU volleyball falls in Baker tourney

BALDWIN CITY — The Ottawa University volleyball team lost four matches Friday and Saturday in the Baker Tournament in Baldwin City.

On Friday, Ottawa lost to William Jewell (20-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-13) and to Avila (25-20, 25-18, 20-25, 13-25, 15-12).

On Saturday, Ottawa fell to Baker (25-16, 25-15, 25-11) and to Benedictine (25-16, 25-15, 25-15).

Freshman Kristen Hendrickson led Ottawa with 13 kills and 17 digs against William Jewell. Erin Scott had nine kills. Kelsey Camp had 21 digs.

Hendrickson had 16 kills against Avila. Toni Reynolds finished with 14 kills. Camp had 25 digs.

Hendrickson had six kills and nine digs in the loss to Baker.

Hendrickson paced the Lady Braves with 11 kills and 10 digs against Benedictine. Reynolds had 10 kills.

Ottawa (2-5) plays 7 p.m. Tuesday at home against Saint Mary.
